Just discovered this rye and was looking for reviews. Right on with your comments. The malted rye sets this one apart. I find it works great as a cocktail mixer. Try the Silver Springs Sweet Rye from the same producer for a great single barrel cask strength rye. Different mash bill replacing the malted rye with corn, thus "sweet" rye.

Used to drink Folgers every morning. I recently switched to Maxwell house, and found I like Maxwell house a lot. It’s very smooth.

I just received a bag of Amantolli with cinnamon as a gift. I have been hunting for brewing directions as there are none on the package. I have a drip coffeemaker and tried my usual directions and the coffee was very weak and I did not get any flavor of coffee or cinnamon. How did you brew yours?

The co op 12 highland malt is Dalmore 12 ...........but a lot cheaper ...and in different bottles......

I recommend you try the Aldi Islay.......its iether bowmore or Laphroaig...its a single malt .at 17.....its half the price of its mooted distillerys products ..at full price. I think its great budget acceptable islay. Try it. ..we arnt all able to afford the true greats but there are some awfully good alts ....🎉

The real star of the range for me is the highland 12 single malt. ...its consistently at 20 and i bought 2 cases for a staggering 120..10 pounds a bottle ...my co op is closing down. So that's sale price...but i picked up talisker sky in cases at 60 a case . Johnny black same .club Havana 7yr same especiale same price ..chivas 12 10pounds...i bought over 12 cases ... laiphroiag select and 10 and buffalo trace both 15 ....im good for a long time......oh i got Drambuie for 7 pounds a bottle. .?yeah .. another 2 cases. ...i do like the blended 3..makes great rusty nails with my ridiculas 7 pound Drambuie .......its good nail whisky........sad to see it close but i made it count.....Are other co op stores closing?..hope not .....i love the 12 ...its suposed to be from a 45 a bottle distillery ..im sure you know which one ...good stuff😁

I do think it is an issue when brands who source are not transparent about it. When they do not put the place of distillation or acknowledge they are sourced it comes across as if they are trying to perform a coverup. I also think a big issue is oversaturation. When you have 100 new brands and they all have a similar profile because they all have the same source it becomes monotonous. People are looking for something different that's why the craft distilleries that distill, age, and bottle their own and do it well are getting such praise. Places like Holladay, New Riff, and Hard Truth. That doesn't mean all sourced whiskey is bad, Redwood empire, Blue note, and a number of others do an excellent job blending, but oversaturation is a thing.

Folgers is so much better than Maxwell House

Folgers is very bitter as far as I'm concerned. Maxwell House is much smoother

My pallet detects bitterness in the Folgers,when as Maxwell House is very nice and smooth. But everyones tastes vary so much.

As a budged drink high commissioner is my go to, obviously not the best but for the price I’m happy. Where I live in the uk it’s just gone up to £16.30 a bottle though 😕

Folgers is the best, Maxwell House has dropped the ball on this one. Maxwell hasn't taste the same since the company did a split back in 2012. Folgers on the other hand; I remember drinking Folgers when I was a Kid in the diners with my grandpa. The taste has almost the same consistency and hasn't changed that much. Overall I love me some Folgers.

Wow, that's some high praise! Here in the Netherlands these go for 80-90 on places like Drankdozijn and Topdrinks - far under the going rate for 20yo stuff, especially when you factor in the 30% extra you get with it being a 1L. Best course of action is bringing yourself back, or having friends bring you, as much as legally possible... I'm a dutchman, we're cheap, so i'd choose death over paying 600 for a bottle that could cost 100ish! ...unless it's George T Stagg hahahaha Good video!

The blue says American Vodka and is made in Mira Loma, CA where SKYY is made. Tastes like it. The more expensive taller red label bottle is supposedly made in the same area as Grey Goose... but its not Grey Goose.

I bought the 1.75 ml. bottle of Samuel Grant at Safeway today, because it was on sale at $19.99. I had never had it before. For the money it seemed it might be a pretty good deal. I was pleasantly surprised that it had decent flavor and a bit of bite to it. This after having one of the worst experiences of my life by buying a 1.75 ml. bottle of Canadian R & R which was just horrible stuff. The only thing worse I have ever had was Canadian Mist which I poured the entire bottle down the sink promptly after 1 drink. I was hopeful but no. It was the ultimate skunk water I have ever had. Now after R & R I am off Canadian whiskey for life. Never again, not worth it at all. For $5 more you can get some halfway decent whisky. By comparison to the Canadian skunk water the Samuel Grant was really good. Overall I am not offended by the Samuel Grant but in my opinion it is not quite as good as some other price friendly bourbons like Wild Turkey 101 or even Jim Beam white label. But I can drink SG without retching, which is important.

Google states the bottle is 44 million I don’t see any way that would be possible

I just grabbed 6 bags at Wally world, normal price $7.00, I got it for $1.79 , damn it is delicious and I am wide awake.
